The Bookie

Bet coins on who wins a real game. No real money, just bragging rights and a leaderboard.

The whole idea: you pick a team, put coins on it, and walk away. When the game ends, Tootsies checks the result and pays you out automatically, right there in the channel, for everyone to see.

How to play

  1. 1Everyone starts with 10,000 coins. Go broke? There's a small daily top-up so you're never stuck.
  2. 2Pick a team to win and a stake. No confusing odds, Tootsies shows the payout in plain coins.
  3. 3The book closes at kickoff. Once a game starts you can't bet it, locks in everyone fair.
  4. 4Win and you're paid in the channel. Lose and it's gone. Either way the whole room sees it.

Where the result comes from

The hard part is knowing who actually won, and never paying the wrong team. Tootsies doesn't trust a single source.

Where the payout comes from

Tootsies converts the implied win probability into coins, a higher-chance team pays less, a longshot pays more. The payout is shown before you commit, in plain coins, no jargon.

Bar height = payout. The favourite’s bar is shorter, less reward, less risk. The longshot is taller, big reward, low odds. Both shown to you in coins before you bet.

The line freezes when you bet

Your payout is locked at the moment you place it. Once the game kicks off, the book closes, no bets on a game already in progress.

Once the whistle blows the slate for that game goes grey. Your locked-in payout never changes regardless of what the odds do after.

The drops: she brings you the line

Betting isn’t only something you go and do, Tootsies brings the line to you. In the betting channel she posts three kinds of drops, each a rich card that links straight to the market so you can act on it: a morning board of who’s favored on today’s games, a heads‑up when a line moves, and a value flag when the odds look off.

The value flag is the sharp one. There’s no oracle for the “true” odds, but when the sportsbook and the live prediction markets disagree hard on the same game, the book is usually the one lagging, and the side the markets rate higher than the book is priced is where the edge is. She only calls it when both markets agree with each other, and links you to the sportsbook where the value actually lives (not the market that’s already caught up).

When both prediction markets rate a side well above the sportsbook’s price, that gap is the value, and the card links to the book where you can still get it.

Each drop is its own switch. A server can take bets with the drops off, or run the board without opening betting, whatever fits the room. Every drop’s take is grounded in real numbers, she never invents a line.

Climb the leaderboard

Every payout is tracked. The room’s top bettors are ranked by net coins, total winnings minus losses, on the Bookie leaderboard. A string of upsets can shoot you to the top fast.
